The paperwork of boxing, standardised and free

A boxing club needs the same handful of forms wherever it is in the world: a way to register a member and screen their health, a coach application, a safeguarding statement, an event permit, a medical declaration. Almost nobody has a good version. Clubs copy a friend's photocopy, federations keep a decade-old Word document, and the safeguarding questions get lost between the two. The result is paperwork that is inconsistent, hard to translate, and easy to fill in wrongly, which is the last thing you want when the answers are about a child or a medical risk.

These forms are our answer. They are the same set that runs inside BoxerConnect, offered openly so that a club, or a whole national federation, can pick them up and use them without starting from a blank page. They are built to one quiet rule: a form field is named for what it means, not for how the question is worded, so it survives being reworded, translated, or lifted into your own system.

Four things turn a pile of forms into something a whole sport could share.

• Stable field names. Every field has a fixed name in dot-notation, like participant.full_name or medical.health_q1, keyed to what it means and never to the wording. Reword the question or translate it, and the data still lines up.
• A small, fixed set of field types. Short text, long text, date, number, email, phone, address, single-choice, multi-choice, dropdown, file upload, typed signature, and a hidden audit field. Nothing exotic, so any system can render them.
• Built-in conditions. A field can be marked to appear only for a minor, or only when a particular consent option is chosen, so the guardian section shows for a child and stays hidden for an adult, automatically.
• An audit spine on every form. Each form records the language it was shown in, the version of the wording accepted, and a typed-signature declaration. A minor adds a parent or guardian counter-signature. That is what makes the record valid for insurance and safeguarding, rather than just a filled-in page.
