Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 19 June 2026
This policy applies to every club and person using BoxerConnect and forms part of our Terms of Service. BoxerConnect is a service for amateur and charity boxing clubs to list their boxers and arrange fair, safe matches. It is club to club: you contact other clubs, never a boxer directly.
1. You must not
- Upload, post or share anything unlawful, or content that is abusive, harassing, threatening, hateful, discriminatory, sexually explicit, exploitative, or that endangers or sexualises a child.
- Upload a child sexual abuse image, terrorist content, or anything that incites violence or serious harm. We report such content to the relevant authorities.
- List a person without the right to do so, or enter false, misleading or fraudulent information (including a boxer's record, age, weight or medical status).
- Impersonate another club, official or person, or misrepresent your authority to act for a club.
- Use the service to arrange unsanctioned, unsafe or mismatched bouts, or to put any boxer at risk.
- Harvest, scrape or reuse other clubs' or boxers' data, or use contact details for marketing, bulk messaging or any purpose other than arranging genuine boxing.
- Attempt to identify, contact or message a child directly, or to obtain a junior boxer's name, photograph, exact date of birth, address, school or personal contact details.
- Disrupt, probe or attempt to break the security of the service, or bypass safeguarding controls.
2. Safeguarding comes first
Protecting children is our priority. Under-18 boxers' names are never shown to other clubs, and there is no direct messaging with boxers. You must only list an under-18 where your club holds the parent or guardian's consent, and you must follow our Safeguarding and Reporting Policy. We encourage every club to record a Club Welfare Officer in its profile.
3. Reporting a concern
If you see content or behaviour that breaks this policy, or you have any safeguarding concern, report it straight away using the Report a concern link on a club's page, or contact us and choose the safeguarding category. Reports reach our team quickly and can be acted on the same day.
4. What we do about breaches
We assess the risk of illegal content on the service and operate reporting and moderation controls. Where this policy is broken we may remove content and suspend or permanently remove a club immediately and without notice, especially for safeguarding or illegal-content concerns. We may also preserve information and report to the police or other authorities where the law requires or allows it.
