Remote identity and address verification is part of a modern DBS application, so it is built into every bundle rather than sold as an add-on. It means the applicant proves who they are online, instead of someone at the club checking documents by hand.
Each bundle includes one deeper records-based validation (External Validation) at no extra cost, used when the standard remote ID step cannot complete. It is not unlimited and not automatic: it does not apply to cases such as an abandoned or refused application, repeated failure, wrong, inconsistent or fraudulent information, the wrong check level, or an ineligible role. If a case needs more than the one included fallback, we will tell you before anything is charged.
You do. Your club or association decides which level of check a role is eligible for, based on the role. BoxerConnect does not decide eligibility and is not a DBS registered body - checks are delivered through an approved DBS route or partner.
Follow your association's safeguarding policy. Many clubs work to roughly a two-year cycle, but there is no universal legal expiry on a DBS certificate - your governing body sets the renewal rule you follow.
It can be useful in some cases, but it is not the default renewal route, and being on the Update Service does not mean no further checks are ever needed. Follow your association's policy on when a fresh check is required.
